Inroduced By Maurice.

Here's an introduction to Wishblowin Ash: Wishblowin' Ash are tribute to Wishbone Ash run by Maurice Douglas, although the band is no longer up and running Maurice continues to pay tribute to their fine music and achievements, you can never say never If the right players become available, and at some point the band may raise its head again, In the meantime, I will continue recording Wishbone music in my studio and uploading the songs to this website, at present I have my head stuck deep into my own acoustic project, I have just purchased a new Taylor 210c Acoustic Guitar and a Fishman Aura Acoustic Imaging Unit while using 2 Condenser Mics for Acoustic Recording.

"Sadly" The full line up of Wishblowin' Ash in its present format, no longer exists, and from a personal point of view I have to say I feel very disappointed and let down by the way it all fell apart, I put my heart and soul into this band, gave up much much of my every day life, and to think of the time I have spent working on the WEBSITE / ASHCON / ARRANGING THE MUSIC / THE EVERYDAY RUNNING OF THE BAND, not to mention I rarely ever got paid for my efforts, I don't think anyone would argue my dedication to music whether it be a Wishbone Ash tribute band or song writing e.t.c. the money thing aint important but if you get paid along the way then that's an extra bonus, I'm not one for chopping and changing bands either, you have stay the distance and if you have a bad apple in the basket you get rid of it, i'm a big believer in seeing the job through, personally if I had the chance to join Martin Turners band for example, I would walk there and play for nothing, and I suppose that is what makes me different to some people when it comes to music, that was the attitude I took when I appeared with Andy Powell's Wishbone Ash at ASHCON 2006 truly it was a great honour to be invited to play alongside a fantastic guitar player.

CD, At last I will now get the chance to complete my new original recordings which I have neglected due to the fact I have put all my energy into this Wishbone Ash tribute band, still I have no regrets and I will continue in my quest. MORE....

New Update For Maurice - 26 /3 / 2007

Now that I have my Roland Fantom X7 at my finger tips, I have been constantly laying down ideas and tracks for new original songs, the libraries of sounds and patches are endless, it makes things easier when you are writing and creating music as you can shape the thing around the way you want it to sound when completed, I normally replace some of the keyboard parts with real guitars, but with the keyboard playing substitute guitar parts you can hear everything together, but as ever most of my energy at the moment is getting this Wishbone band up and running.
